A long optical system allows you to use lenses with very little curvature. Why so long? Without getting too technical, it's a matter of correcting for optical aberrations. That's longer than most rifle barrels, these days. By the way, the 67 shoots right there with any of our CZs and even our Remington s.įairly common, back in the day, to convert 67s into target range guns for folks who couldn't afford the very expensive Winchester 52s or Remington 37s. Got both at a terrific price, but had to promise never to sell the scope to anyone without first talking to them The scope turned out to be a Lyman Super Target Spot 10x. Just so happened, one of the guys had the mount and the other, our club president, had a scope. Low and behold, was at the range and told a couple of our club members about it. I recognized the bolt hole pattern for what it was and bought the gun with the hopes of finding a matching mount and scope. Couple years, back, we bought a nice Winchester 67 22 LR at a good price because it had been drilled and tapped at some point for a scope mount. I haven't seen anything on them for years, now, though some other company might have bought the name and might be producing scopes with a Lyman label.įor sure, though, would not be the same Lyman scopes that were made in the U. I've been checking them Does Lyman still make new scopes? I've been checking them out on ebay. The older scopes sure demands a great premium.
